I have been accepted in my dream college. My college is starting in August. I have got a great scholarship and I must pay about $9K annually. I will get my I-20 within a month, then I will apply for Visa. Will it be late to apply for Visa?
What are the documents that I should prepare early for visa process?
My bank balance will show an abrupt rise in amount from $5K to $25K, will it create a negative impact?
What are the things that I will have to keep in mind to get the visa within the required time?
Thank you very much.
Congratulations for being accepted to your dream college.
Apply for Visa as soon as you get your I20. Do note that some countries do not allow you to apply before 3 months of the college start date. That applies in the case of US Visa, so do read http://www.ustraveldocs.com/np/np-niv-typefandm.asp this to get all information about VISA.
Also, please consider taking the US VISA quiz: http://collegesodhpuch.com/usvisa-quiz/ (Here are 3 quizzes, take the third one-US VISA Quiz) The quiz will help you understand what you need to prepare for.
Abrupt rise in bank balance is quite common and historically there has been no problems with it. However you must have thought of a supporting explanation for the abrupt rise. It does not have negative impact.
